It's in the bag

I’ve gone through MANY make-up phases in the short 25 (cough 37) years I’ve been on this planet.
I remember thinking I was sooooooooo cool that I had a cover up stick when I was in like 5th grade. I also remember not really putting on much make-up for a long time. I just never got the hang of it. One day, in Algebra class, two girls I was friendly with asked me what I used for make-up. I honestly had nothing on, but felt like I should have something, so I made up this long list of things I had put on my face. Peer pressure right?
Throughout the years I’ve gone from wearing a lot of make-up (college, hello!) to none (the past 3 years) and by none I mean BB cream and mascara. For a VERY long time I used bare minerals, which I am still a huge fan of, and then one day said I needed a change. That change was bb cream. Drastic, I know. I blame my following of YHL and my desire to be a minimilist like Sherry. Have you seen what's in her make-up bag?
I tried, but I always felt like it just wasn't enough for me. My skin isn't super awesome, I have a wierd obsession with eyebrows, and if I could I would wear fake lashes every day of my life.
The great thing about the internet, is that when you need help with things like that, there is a plethora of sites to look at. I don't even rememer how, but I stumbled upon one said, MasKara and loved (well love) it. She is just so real and down to earth and honest about make-up and looking good. She does amazing work, and her videos are awesome. I decided to bit the bullet after watching this video. I went out, bought the products, and starting wearing make-up again.
I had been patiently (not) waiting for her HACII make-up kit to be on sale again, when I stumbled upon another great blogger with some great videos as well. This one is my new go to routine. And i even bought the brush (whish is AMAZING). I don't think I've ever speant that much money on make up in my life, but hey, i'm worth it right? If it makes you feel good, it can't be wrong!!

I'm still working on things, still learning. And the second I run out of my current stash I'm going to try the new HACII make-up. What tips and tricks do you have? What are some of your favorites?
Oh, and does anyeone else apply make-up then half way through the day it looks like you put none on? How do I fix this? Primer? I need suggestions!!!
