New Year. New Me.

Warm Lights

Well Happy New Year all! I know its a few (okay, more than a few) days late for that. But I’ve been relaxing on a tropical beach since Christmas Eve. And by tropical beach I mean home with the kids for over a week. My tropical beach is being back at work at this point.

So here we are. A new year. A blank slate. The first page (okay 6th) of your 365 page book called 2015. So what’s the plan? Mine is simple. Well, it was until I decided to list it all out. So, here goes!!

Get back to the old me. By that I mean the old me that doesn’t look/weigh the same as she did when she was 4 months pregnant. I mean seriously. I blame my love of not good for you food (good bye spicy Doritos, I will miss you) and years of bad habits. Mainly smoking. See, when you smoke, you can eat ANYTHING. Or at least I could. And basically lose weight. Years after the final quit and I am STRUGGLING. Add to that two c-sections and my awesome eating habits and things are not looking so hot around here. My goal is to be realistic about this. There is no way I’m going to get back to my best weight ever, but I do want to lose some serious LB’s and fit into my jeans from a few years ago. I know that this for me is mainly about food, so I’m going to stop the late night snaking (and wine drinking) and I have a feeling this will make a big difference. #skinnybitches2015

Two pretty much piggy backs on this and it just about being healthier. Drinking more water, exercising more, taking vitamins. Making sure I exfoliate once a week (I’m serious). Check-ups, dentist appointments (hello new night guard!) and things of that nature. I need to get better at making sure the kids drink more water and take their vitamins too. So that’s on the list. I’d love to start trying some new foods too. But I won’t get too ambitious here.

I REALLY want to do the Project 52. I attempted something like this last year, then with the selling the condo and all that it totally fell off my plate. I am committed to doing it this year and actually just bought the new kit for it. Now I just need to get better about taking and uploading pictures. Which brings me to my next one.

Re-take my Shoot Fly Shoot classes (see banner on sidebar for link to site) Really get good at using my DSLR. I’d love to get a new prime lens and even more would love a wifi memory card. So there’s that.

Another thing I’d really like to make more of an effort to do is do more fun things with as a family, AND just me and the mr. So even if it’s just once a month and we go out and do something fun and different, I’ll be happy with that.

And last but not leastly (new year, I get to make up new words) I’m going to really try to get on here at least 2-3 times a week. I sort of came up with a schedule, but let’s see how things go before I make it official.
