Admitidaly, this is not my first stitch fix. i got my first one last month and as per usual was so excited i didn't think to take pictures. and by so excited I mean i had no desire to take pictures of myself :)
So, let me not assume that everyone knows what Sticth Fix is and give you the skinny. In a nutshell, it's a subscription service that gives you clothes. But really, it's more than that. Unlike a birchbox, or even the fab fit fun box I get, this box is tailored to you. You sign up (click here) and fill out your style profile, then viola! the next month you get a box of clothes hand picked for you.
You pay $20 for your fix, and if you decide to keep any of the items that money goes towards the cost of the items, and if not they keep the $20. Also if you buy everything in the box you get 25% off. Sweet pickles. Especially for someone who has no style what so ever. It's like I can pretend I have a clue (no more black shirt and jeans combos everyday!)
I honestly think that's why I didn't post the last month's fix. I was unsure of how hand picked this was. At one point when I was trying things on I was like "wait a second what if my boss has all the same stuff in her stitch fix too? then we end up wearing all the same things". But after much internet research, it seems like the boxes really aren't all the same. Which is why I decided to go for another month. Even after this happened to one of my favorite bloggers.
So, here is my September stitch fix....

I had really high hopes for the paisley tunic shirt and the jeans...but I'll let you see what happened. (I seriously need to get someone to take these pictures, or invenst in a good full lenght mirror. apologies all around!!)
Also, I'm pretty sure my Mom owned and wore that bottome right shirt through most of the early 90s. EEK!

Okay. So this one I actually liked. The shirt fit nice and the colors were fallish. I was a little hung up on teh collar though. Also, the jeans...oh how I loved them. But they were sooooo tiny at the waist. They were $88 but I may have splurged on these babies.
STATUS: Returned

I thouoght for sure this would be a winner. I loved the cut and the color, but man...what a dissapointment. The shirt cut off WAY to low. See on the sides the shirt goes up and that part was above my waist/jeans, which mean skin was showing. Afterwards I thought that maybe I could throw a tank on underneath, but then I don't think the shirt would flow right.
STATUS: Returned

You thought I was kidding right? I am going to search high & low for a picture of my Mom wearing this and her high waist slacks, feathered bangs and bad perm. Needless to say...I DID NOT keep this baby.
STATUS: Returned (duh!)
There was a super pretty necklace that I for some reason can't upload a picture for that I kept. I didn't want my $20 styling fee to go to waist.
While this fix wasn't as sucessful as the last, I was still excited about it and can't wait to get the next one. So much so that I may try getting it every two weeks for a month or so. I also made sure I commented a lot about why I returned these items and made a few requests for my next fix. I've also heard that if you pin a lot of stuff that you like that helps too.
So, for now, I'm still loving the fix, and if you like to get new clothes but end up wearing the same thing over and over again (hello jeans and long sleeve gap tee...i love you for life!) this is a great way to help bring some stylish pieces that you probably wouldn't go out on your own and buy into your wardrobe.
